Our experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. We planned to attend a concert at the citizens bank park and booked this hotel because it was close to the venue. Check-in started at 3 so we thought if we arrived at 4 we could check in, freshen up, grab some dinner and then go to the stadium. When we arrived the line to check in was out the door - mostly other concert goers. We waited in line for 90 minutes with no communication from hotel staff. I finally flagged down someone who told me they had no rooms ready and it would probably be at least another hour (it was 5:30 at this point. Check in was advertised as 3 p. M. To 11 p. M.). I complained to a manager who told me i could give her my name and booking number and check in after the concert. We went to the concert - changing and doing our makeup and hair in car/parking lot. Finally after midnight when we got back to the hotel we were able to check in. Room was fine and served its purpose. In the morning we went downstairs to breakfast. Not many people were in the restaurant but there was only one person there to seat guests, pass out menus and serve food. The menu was different - not your standard eggs, hashbrowns and toast but we thought we'd give it a try. However i can't tell you how it was because after sitting there for 20 minutes without placing an order or getting a cup of coffee we walked out and went across the street to the diner (which was wonderful by the way). When we checked out i asked for a receipt and was told they couldn't give me a receipt because the room was booked through a third party site. I asked about the bottle of water we charged to the room and the parking. They said those were the only items charged to my card and still couldn't give me a receipt.

I would say ignore the negative reviews and book this hotel if you are going to a sports or entertainment event in the neighborhood. My family of four got taylor swift tickets for saturday in philly. Knowing nothing about philly and dreading transportation/neighborhood missteps, i found this hotel walking distance from the venue. The reviews were mixed, to say the least, with some very dicey reviews, but i took a chance. Price and location were worth the gamble. Some reviews alluded to improvements, new owner, etc. I spent four-six months worrying about what i am getting my family into, what if it's terrible? well, this was a very decent hotel. The lobby was clean, service was friendly and accommodating, our two rooms were perfect, spacious, airy, and bright, with big flat screen tvs. The beds were clean and comfy! the bathroom was bright, clean, with great water pressure. We got all of my special requests like a higher floor (15th!), a king room and a double queen room, and parking! what a relief! we will be back. An added bonus is the popis restaurant just around the corner, which serves amazing italian fare. And we could walk back from our amazing taytay extravaganza. The only thing i would like is to see a better breakfast, it was expensive but somewhat unorganized. There is what looked like a great old-timey diner across the street, so breakfast could be there. Do not worry, this hotel is on the upswing. And so convenient for concerts. And - parking! at least i can say this goes for rooms 1501 and 1507. It has a cool round floor plan too with amazing views up top. We had a wonderful time. Thank you, radisson philly, for exceeding expectations.
